Voula Gounela

Born in Piraeus. Studied ceramics in Istituto d’Arte Faenza Italy and attended sculpture programmes in Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna Italy. Curated and was responsible for the organization of the International Olympic Ceramic Sculpture Museum in Marousi, Greece. Is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics, the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece and a founding member of the Greek Association of Artists Ceramists (ΕΚΚΕ). Has taught ceramics in public and private schools and vocational seminars in Greece and Europe. Has won 3 Gold Medals at the International Competition in Faenza, Italy. First Prize ex-aequo at the International Competition in Grottaglia, Italy. Grand Prix and Prizes at the National Competition of Maroussi, Greece.

She has participated in 12 international exhibitions with invitation. In 10 juried international exhibitions. Has 8 personal exhibitions and over 100 group exhibitions in Greece and abroad
