Nota Tsitoura

Nota Tsitoura studied Political Sciences & Communication at the National Kapodistriako University and Sculpture & Art Education at the School of Fine Arts in Athens. She also studied Micro Sculpture at the Accademia di belle Arti of Florence, Italy. She currently attends Art therapy seminars in Athens.

She was born in Peloponnisos, next to Alfeiós River. Having nature as her first teacher, the concepts of sanctuary, beauty and harmony were ingrained into her as codes of wonder.

Nota Tsitoura has worked as assistant to the Art therapist Ioanna Kilimi, at a program for people with special needs organised by Museum of Greek Children’s Art. She has participated in various group exhibitions, in 2014 International Contemporary Art Fair of Athens and she has presented a solo exhibition at «Gallery 7» in Athens.

Work Analysis
In the same way as the line of a pencil draws a world beyond the narrow limits of human existence, she molds airy forms with materials such as thread and metal. These forms embrace words which express feelings and wishes for a world of unity and harmony.
